We take your safety seriously. Renters go through a verification process that requires two forms of proof of address, ensuring everyone is properly vetted. While anyone can share their backyard, we recommend choosing a verified listing for added peace of mind. Hosts must adhere to our requirements, or they risk removal from the platform. And for extra assurance, be sure to check out the positive reviews left by previous guests.

My Backyard Rentals has a million dollar insurance policy. If your property is damaged, insurance can cover it and the renter may be terminated from the platform.

What if I need to cancel?
Cancellations are personalized to the host’s settings. Typically full refunds are processed when cancellation is done 72 hours in advance.  This allows the host not to lose other potential bookings during the time frame requested. Full to partial refunds can be set all the way up to the hour of the booking! (Again, be sure to check the details of each hosts listing for this information)

Start by imagining the kinds of events people might host there and share your ideas! Give your space a catchy name and highlight its unique features with engaging photos and videos. Whether it’s a pool party, a gal pal hangout, a playdate for the kids, a private dog park, a sports practice zone, a barbecue bash, a photoshoot, or even a club meeting—the possibilities are endless!

Claims can be filed under host settings. You will provide your name and the booking number followed by a detailed description of what occurred.  You can add photos and videos of any damages. Your My Backyard Rentals team will review the claim and respond in a timely manner.
