Welcome to My Backyard Rentals! By accessing or using our platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
My Backyard Rentals ("we," "us," or "our") provides an online platform that connects property owners ("Hosts") who have private spaces available for rent with individuals seeking to rent such spaces ("Guests"). Our platform is accessible via our website at mybackyardrentals.com and any other websites through which My Backyard Rentals makes its services available.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into legally binding contracts to access and use the My Backyard Rentals platform. By accessing or using the platform, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity and authority to enter into a contract.
To access certain features of the platform, you must register an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and agree not to disclose your password to any third party.
Hosts can create listings for their spaces, specifying details such as availability, pricing, and any rules or restrictions. Hosts are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of their listings. My Backyard Rentals reserves the right to remove or modify listings that violate our policies or are deemed inappropriate.
Guests can book spaces through the platform. By booking a space, Guests agree to pay all charges associated with the booking, including the listed price, service fees, and any applicable taxes. Payments are processed securely through our payment provider. Hosts will receive payouts for bookings, less any applicable fees, in accordance with our payout policies.
Cancellation policies are set by Hosts and are displayed in each listing. Guests should review these policies before booking. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed in accordance with the Host's cancellation policy.

My Backyard Rentals recommends that Hosts obtain appropriate insurance for their spaces. We do not provide insurance coverage for Hosts or Guests. Users agree that My Backyard Rentals is not responsible for any injuries, damages, or losses arising from the use of the platform or rented spaces.
In the event of a dispute between a Host and a Guest, we encourage both parties to communicate and attempt to resolve the issue amicably. If a resolution cannot be reached, users may contact My Backyard Rentals for assistance, though we are not obligated to mediate disputes.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the platform at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users or the platform.
My Backyard Rentals may modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting the new terms on our website. Your continued use of the platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
